Creating the Introductory offer
Setting up the introductory offer for the person being referred
When creating an incentive, you can create an introductory offer for the person being referred. This isn't compulsory, but will give them another reason to use your services.
The introductory offer can be described in using the same options as the referrer's reward.
Available offer types

Ensure that introductory offer is permitted by any regulation. For example, lawyers, medical and other regulated professions may be precluded from certain types of offers. There may also be laws around providing alcohol or other regulated products as gifts etc..
Remember that Reco is not involved with distributing or managing offers.
Choosing the right introductory offer
As for rewards, consider your business model and what motivates your clients:
- Percentage discounts work well for high-value services where the saving feels significant
- Fixed amounts are straightforward and easy to understand — clients know exactly what they'll get
- Free services can be very attractive, especially if you offer something clients already value
- Custom rewards give you complete flexibility for non-monetary incentives like priority access or free quotes etc.
Offer Description
The offer description will be seen by both the person making the referral and the person being referred. Make it clear and unambiguous.
If you do not want to provide an introductory offer, simply select Other and enter a message e.g. "Welcome to your first class"
Discount Code
If the referred person can sign up to your services by using an online platform where a discount code can be used, then you can provide that here.
Using AI for suggestions
As for the reward, if you need some assistance or inspiration, pressing Get AI suggestion will use whatever information you have populated to suggest an introductory offer. For example, if you select Service Credit or Discount as the offer type, AI will suggest an appropriate Discount. If you suggest the discount level in the offer description, then the AI will develop that and provide a fuller offer description. Give it a try and see if it helps. If you like what it suggests, click Use this - you can always edit it further.
