Making a recommendation to a provider

Making an un-rewarded recommendation for any provider

In addition to direct referrals, Reco allows you to make recommendations to any provider. This creates an entry on the business's public recommendations page on Reco.

Why make a recommendation instead of a referral

There are a number of reasons you might want to make a recommendation to a business instead of a referral

  • The business is not on Reco and you want to track the recommendations you are making to a specific business
  • You might want to make it clear to a business that you have made the recommendation
  • You want to show public support for the business using a public recommendation the business can use in their marketing
  • The business is on Reco, but you don't want the reward, or are no longer eligible for more rewards

How to make a recommendation

  1. On your Client Dashboard, go to the "Recommend a business" panel
  2. Click on "Recommend a business"
  3. Fill in the form, and choose how to email the provider (not at all, by CC'ing them with your friend, or with a seperate email)

Before cc'ing the person to whom you want to make the recommendation, you must have their permission to share their email with the business.

Any recommendations you make appear on a publicly available page for the business. You can choose whether to be anonymous on this page.

Managing your recommendations

You can view and manage all your recommendations from your profile. You can edit or remove a recommendation at any time if your opinion changes.
